Business survives on their ability to plan for the future which is uncertain. We cannot definitely know what is there in store for us in future but thanks to predictive technology we can now make an attempt to understand future. However, the problem that has now emerged is how to use the data for such analysis particularly when the data volume is extremely high. Big data brings in two kinds of problem – one involving storage technology and the other one analytical technology. This workshop focuses on the later and uses “R” as the platform to explains various tools and techniques that we can use for conducting predictive analytics. Since “R” is a community based effort not involving any purchase, the cost of implementation will be low.
After attending his workshop, you should be able to:
- Get introduced to “R” and how to install and use the same
- Recognise various techniques and tools required to conduct predictive analytics using “R”
- Identify the scope of applying predictive analytics in specific functional areas
- Understand the scope and limitations of using a predictive model using “R”
- Design predictive analytics models for your own organisation using “R”
- Maximum 18 hours of CPE credit in the field of Management Advisory Services, may be awarded subject to completion of workshop requirements.
